Balancing Act

Balance. It's a place so many of us struggle to find. I recently returned to my full time teaching job after maternity leave. I got to stay home with my Sweet P until she was nearly 3 months old (I know I'm fortunate for that time and fortunate that I work in a wonderful school that understands the needs of new moms). As I try to settle into this role of full time teacher, mom of two, wife, and crazy lady who has a part-time sewing business, I sometimes leave myself feeling...anxious. And then I think about all the things I'm doing and why I'm doing them.

What's with the wipes?

The organic cotton and bamboo terry wipes. Where this whole thing started. They continue to be my top sellers. And I can't seem to stop adding more to my own personal stash for my girls.

What are they?

70% Bamboo, 28% Organic Cotton, 2% Poly (added for stability of the bamboo) double sided terrycloth. That means it has the loops on both sides (like a bath towel, only thinner). It is Oeko-tex standard 100 certified (What does THAT mean?). Basically it's as safe as possible and even intended to go against a baby's skin. It's buttery soft. You'll want a pillow made out of it. The fabric has a creamy color to it, and is free of dyes and chemicals. The serged edges are 100% polyester thread.

Wet Bag Sizing Updates

Large Bag, Medium Bag, XS Bag
Over the last few days, I have started to update the shop with some new sizing structures for my wet bags. I wanted to put it all down here so that customers have a reference point for the sizing. These changes have been carefully considered and are the result of customer questions and feedback as well as some careful cost analysis (as pricing has changed, my costs made it so I was losing money on my best selling items).

The sizing you see here will be what most commonly gets stocked in the store, but other odd sizes might pop up here or there, and different sizes can always be done as a custom request.
